THE 2026 SONS OF THE AMERICAN LEGION SCHOLARSHIP

IN MEMORY OF LINDA HILTON

1. One scholarship will be awarded for $1,000 and one for $500.

2. The scholarship will be available to high school seniors whose families are members in good standing of Post 330 American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary or the Sons of the American Legion.

3. The awarded scholarship is to be used for post-secondary education expenses.  The recipients must attend a college, vocational/technical or other post-secondary institution for the 2026-2027 school year.

4. The award will be based on career and educational goals, grades achieved in school, involvement in extracurricular and community activities and on the essay written for the scholarship application.

5. Applications may be requested by email from squadron330@yahoo.com or downloaded from the Post 330 website (2026 SAL Scholarship Application – American Legion Post 330 New Haven, IN).

7. Application deadline is May 1, 2026.  Applications that are mailed must be postmarked by this date.  Late applications will not be accepted.
