Sons of the American Legion – 2024 Scholarship Application

To all Legion Family Members:

Enclosed in this post is information regarding the SAL scholarships available for 2024.  Please read the information carefully and be mindful of the deadline dates.  The application deadline is April 15.  For questions, you may contact Mark Franke at squadron330@yahoo.com or the guidance office at New Haven High School. 

THE 2024 SONS OF THE AMERICAN LEGION SCHOLARSHIP

IN MEMORY OF LINDA HILTON

  1. Two scholarships will be awarded; one scholarship will be awarded for $1,000 and one for $500.
  1. The scholarships will be available to high school seniors whose families are members in good standing of the American Legion, Auxiliary or the Sons of the American Legion Post 330.
  1. The awarded scholarship is to be used for post-secondary education expenses.  The recipients must attend a college, vocational/technical or other post-secondary institution for the 2024-2025 school year.
  1. The award will be based on career and educational goals, grades achieved in school, involvement in extracurricular and community activities and on the essay written for the scholarship application.
  1. Applications may be requested by email from squadron330@yahoo.com or from the guidance office at New Haven High School.
  1. Applications must be typed and should be mailed or delivered to:
